Ramius (and anyone else here) should know that this most likely means "Some form of Windows and IE required", as that's what the vast majority of people out there are using.
#ANT GAME POPCAP GAMES FOR FREE#
He sees Popcap's page where they claim, "Welcome! Play these games for FREE in your web browser!", which is almost universally marketing speak for "if you have a 'standard', mainstream configuration, you should be able to play this in your browser". Raptor, you seem to be completely missing the point of the thread. And of course it had to be something I was really interested in. But noooooo! Their website has absolutely no mention whatsoever that certain games will only work on Windows machines. I'd still be pissed, but less so, because at least they would be honest about it. A message that said, "Requires a Windows operating system with Internet Explorer" would do it. Now, I don't like the fact that they're using Windows-specific technologies on the web, but they could at least mention it somewhere on their site. What bugs me is that their old games worked fine, but they decided to change that for their new games for some inexplicable reason. Now, it's not hard to figure out that they're using ActiveX.
#ANT GAME POPCAP GAMES MAC#
Perhaps it could be changed to, "Play these games for FREE in certain supported web browsers!" Your older web games work fine in Mac browsers, but the newer ones do not seem to. I find the statement "Play these games for FREE in your web browser!" misleading when they do not work in "my" web browser. IE has the same problem as Safari and Camino the window pops up, the page loads, but the game does not.

There is no error message.ĭiscouraged, but still persistent, I try for a last time with my tertiary browser, Internet Explorer ( ) which I only use in extreme situations. I get the same problem with Camino as I did with Safari the window pops up, the page loads, but the game does not.

Thinking it might be a Safari issue, I proceed to try it with my backup browser, Camino ( ). I checked your help page ( ), but did not find anything pertaining to my issue. The window pops up, the page loads, but the game does not.

I really enjoyed the first one, so I was anticipating playing a sequel. I went to you web games page ( ) and saw the message, "Welcome! Play these games for FREE in your web browser!", which, for me, is Safari ( ). They have simple mechanics, but also a rich, complex gameplay. Taste the fresh blend of action, arcade and strategy.? ENDLESS GAMEPLAY! ?Challenge your friends and the rest of the world in four dynamic Survival modes.? AWESOME SOUNDTRACK! ?Indulge your ears with the original soundtrack and crazy sound effects.? GAME CENTER SUPPORT! ?Strive for numerous Achievements and worldwide Leaderboard rankings through Game Center. What follows is an email I sent to PopCap's support staff (I have yet to receive a response):įirst of all, I'd like to say that you guys make some very fun games.
